Most, if not all, geeks love Lego. It is the ultimate construction toy for young builders and fantasists. I remember my first ever Lego set back in the 80’s, a gift from my father. It was a basic house on a green baseplate. However, as a young boy, I didn’t want to build a house for a girlie Lego character with a black toupee on her head. Instead, I would fashion the bricks into a badly proportioned—and multicolored–laser gun or airplane. Needless to say, the green miniature tree that comes with the set became our dog’s chew toy.

Lego Keyring

Well, last week, I received a very special gift from my dear friend Tatit (my preciousss’ aunt), who arrived from Sweden. It’s a 7-centimeter Lego Light Keyring. The figure has two LED lights at the bottom of its feet and a key ring attached to its head. It has the same articulation points as any standard Lego minifigure and it comes with three replaceable 3-volt CR2025 batteries accessible at the back. The lights can be switched on by pressing the figure’s belly.

Now, I am proud to say that I can brave dark corners even after watching horror-soaked flicks. I have a ready light source at my fingertips. Thanks to Tatit and my new pocket-sized Lego Light Keyring!
